Reflection on My Journey Box
The journey box activity's purpose was to have you continue your reflective process on all the experiences that have brought you to this point in your life. The journey box is a literal box containing a themed set of photographs, selected artifacts, literature, informational text, journal entries, awards among other things. The box will also include an index that shows what is in the box. These artifacts all sum up important experiences you remember that form the bases of your knowledge.
Reflect on the significance of this project for you.

The Method of Currere: A process of self-discovery
Pinar (1975) wrote The Method of Currere, a method that allows us to explore what we have conceptualized through time, the complex relation between the temporal and conceptual, thus we can discover our self, its evolution and education (p. 19). What is praxis?
In our last class we were discussing what is praxis. Paulo Freire (1986) defines praxis in Pedagogy of the Oppressed as "reflection and action upon the world in order to transform it." Through praxis, oppressed people can acquire a critical awareness of their own condition, and, with their allies, struggle for liberation. What do you understand praxis to be?
